Benefits of Membership

Here are just some of the benefits of becoming a member of the MOA:

Events – a great way to meet your fellow Mac owners - swap ideas, see other parts of the country with local advice and just have a great time! Past rallies range from weekends in the Solent to two weeks cruising the IJsselmeer in Holland and everything in between.

Advice – through the members website discussion boards, articles in our newsletter or just contacting another member directly get the best UK technical and local knowledge information available in the UK.

Magazine – copies of our Newsletter MacGregor Sailor now published up to 5 times a year keeping you in touch with everything happening in the club and the MacGregor world in general. Join and access all the back issues online.

Web site - as a member you will have a personal login account on the web site, giving access to more extensive information and resources, and allowing you to post articles and comments, and create photo albums to share with other members.

Discussion Forums – join with other members in lively discussion groups on the web site. Talk about boats, fixing them, modifying them, or about good places to sail, and experiences on Association rallies. There's also a Buy & Sell forum where you can place your own For Sale or Wanted ads.

WHO CAN JOIN?

Although we are primarily an association of MacGregor owners, anyone can join, whether they own a MacGregor or not. We welcome anyone with an interest in sailing, especially if you like trailing as well, regardless of the make of your boat. We also have several members who no longer own a Mac, but still remain members. If you are planning to buy one, then why not join now and get the benefit of some "inside knowledge?

Two people can share one membership - often this is a husband and wife, but can be any two people, for instance two friends who share the ownership of a boat. We record both names in the membership list (but only one address), both can have their own web site login if they wish, but only one copy of each newsletter is sent out.

HOW MUCH?

Membership fees are £15 per annum, renewable on 1st February each year. There is an additional application fee to cover administration and provision of a welcome pack — including a club burgee. We are a non profit organisation and all monies are re-invested in providing benefit to members.

WANT TO JOIN?

Just go to the Join the Association page where you can join online (application fee £10), or download an application form to fill in and send by post (application fee £20).
